If you experience numbness and swelling while wearing the cage, it means the ring you have chosen is too small. A properly sized ring will fit snugly against your body without causing friction or shifting and will not impede blood flow.
How to Find the Right Ring
At MyCockLock, we offer a variety of cages, some plastic chastity cages / silicone chastity cages come with sets of rings in multiple sizes. This is the simplest way to find the right ring by trial and error. However, for cages that come with only one ring, accurate self-measurement becomes crucial.Measuring and Calculating the Circumference of the Base of Your Penis

Ensure your penis is flaccid before measuring. If possible, take a warm bath to promote blood flow and get more accurate measurements.
Tools needed:
- A soft tape measure at least 35 cm (13.78") long, or a non-elastic light-colored string, which is easier to mark during measurement.
- A dark-colored marker to mark the string.
After finishing, lay the tape measure/string flat. If you used a string, measure its length with a ruler to get the circumference. Then divide the circumference by π (3.14) to get the diameter.
For example, if the measured circumference is 125 mm, then the diameter calculation is: 125 mm / 3.14 ≈ 39.81 mm. Match this data to the closest ring size we offer to find a suitable ring.
Similarly:
Circumference 173 mm (6.81") ÷ 3.14 = 55 mm (2.16") (Ring Size)
Circumference 157 mm (6.18") ÷ 3.14 = 50 mm (1.96") (Ring Size)
Circumference 142 mm (5.59") ÷ 3.14 = 45 mm (1.77") (Ring Size)
Circumference 125 mm (4.92") ÷ 3.14 = 40 mm (1.57") (Ring Size)
If you are a beginner, it is recommended to choose the larger ring size if your measurement falls between two sizes. For example, if you measure a diameter of 53 mm (2.04"), choose the larger 55 mm (2.16") size rather than the smaller 45 mm (1.77"). Be kind to yourself as you adapt. After getting used to it, if you want to try a smaller ring, you can purchase new ring accessories here.
Types of Ring

- Flat Rings: Flat rings are the most common, with a simple circular structure and no curvature. If you're a beginner, you can start with flat rings.
- Arc Ring: Arc rings have an ergonomic design that follows the contours of the body, providing more space at the bottom for a comfortable fit.
- Flat Ring with Ears: These are based on the standard circular ring but have added "ears" to accommodate a belt, perfect if you have a compatible belt.
- Arc Ring with Hook: Similar to the flat rings with ears, these have a hook for additional support and stimulation of the scrotum.
- Hinged Ring: Hinged rings can be opened, making it easier to put on directly around the penis without having to thread it through. We recommend adding a silicone sleeve over the hinge to prevent pinching.
How to Measure the Cage/Penis Length
Compared to measuring the ring, measuring the penis length is much simpler. In a standing position with a completely flaccid penis, use a ruler to measure from the base to the tip. If your partner is willing to help, you'll get a more accurate measurement.![](https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0871/1703/7843/files/How-To-Measure-3_1024x1024.jpg?v=1717602805)
When selecting a chastity cage, don't choose one that perfectly matches your measurement. To ensure a snug fit, we recommend subtracting 6mm (0.23") to 13mm (0.51") from your measurement when selecting the cage size. This is because an oversized cage will leave extra space at the tip of the penis, defeating the purpose of being locked in chastity.
A perfectly fitted cage will ensure the urethra is aligned with the end opening of the cage, keeping urination clean and maintaining hygienic conditions.
The Gap Between Cage and Ring
The space between the cage and ring is called the "gap," and it's often an overlooked but crucial aspect. How do you know if the gap is right?- If your scrotum is hanging high and close to your body, you need a cage with a wider gap.
- If your scrotum is hanging low and forward, you need a cage with a smaller gap.
